Gilbert George Aguilar, Sr.

April 19, 1928 - March 11, 2006

Tehachapi resident Gilbert George Aguilar, Sr., 77, passed away on March 11, 
2006. Per his request, no funeral services will be held.

Gilbert was born on April 19, 1928 in Los Angeles, Calif., to Hypito and Maria 
Aguilar. As an adult, he worked for Honeywell Corporation as a supervisor, 
retiring after 30 years. He then moved to the beautiful Tehachapi mountains 
where he built his own home. He found peace in this area. He enjoyed gardening 
in his yard and using his handyman skills. Most of all, he was a man who loved 
his family and all children. While in Tehachapi, he was an active member of 
the Moose Lodge and a past member of the Elks Lodge.

Gilbert is survived by his sons, Gilbert Aguilar, Jr. of Hemet, Jeffrey 
Aguilar of San Gabriel, and Leslie Aguilar of San Francisco; daughter Vivian 
Foster of San Bernardino; 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and 
sisters, Mary Tangonan, Sally Martinez, Rachael Maranon, and Sarah Agcawili.

He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. Wood Family Funeral 
Services handled the cremation arrangements.
