Frances Agtarap Alipio 
Sept. 20, 1919 - Jan. 18, 2006 

Visitation for Frances Alipio will be held at Delano Mortuary Chapel on 
Sunday, January 22nd, from 3-5 p.m., followed by Rosary Services at 5 p.m. 
Funeral Mass will be held Monday, January 23rd, at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of 
Guadalupe Church in Delano, CA, followed by graveside services at North Kern 
District Cemetery. Frances passed away January 18, 2006, at her daughter's 
home in Bakersfield, CA at the age of 86 from leukemia. She was born September 
20, 1919, in Laoag City, Philippines. She was one of ten children and grew up 
in Laoag City where she attended local schools and became a seamstress. In 
1948, she married Marcos Agustin Alipio and joined him in 1951, residing in 
Delano, CA. Here she spent most of her time as a homemaker and mother. What 
she loved most was spoiling her family. She was a very generous and unselfish 
woman. Survivors include her daughters, Cynthia Alipio and Melba Spooner; son-
in-law, John Spooner; five grandsons and three great-grandchildren.
