Ricardo S. Alvarado was born on September 27, 1927 in Matamoros, MX and passed 
away at his home on November 5, 2005 in Lamont, CA. Ricardo was raised in 
Matamoros where he met and married Ramona Alvarez, they moved to Corpus 
Christi, TX, where they started their family. Ricardo settled his family in 
Lamont in 1965. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Ramona 
Alvarado. Survivors are his 8 children: Ricardo Alvarado Jr., Tony Alvarado, 
Lupe De La Rosa, Juanita Terrazas, Norma Soto, Rosa Benavidez, Patricia Garza 
and Alicia Gonzales; 21 grandchildren and 6 great- grandchildren; brother Luis 
Alvarado; sister Manuela Alvarado; 3 half-brothers and 6 half-sisters. A Mass 
will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at St. Augustines 
Church in Lamont. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at St. 
Augustines with a Rosary to follow. Pallbearers will be Ricardo Alvarado Jr., 
Tony Alvarado, Ruben Benavidez, Noah Garza, Jose Gonzales and Roman Terrazas.
