Jesus Amaya 
July 13, 1927 - February 5, 2006 
Services: Tues., Feb. 14, 10:00 a.m. 

Jesus Amaya passed away on February 5, 2006. He was 78 years old. Jesus spent 
much of his young life living around the country. Jesus met and married Maria 
and then settled in Lamont, California where he lived until his passing. Jesus 
lived a full and happy life. Jesus was a hardworking man who provided for his 
family by working in the many agricultural fields surrounding Lamont. Jesus 
was an easy going, kindhearted and gentle man who was always willing to help 
someone in need. Jesus enjoyed spending time with his family and working on 
cars. He had many friends who loved and adored him. He will be greatly missed. 
Left to mourn his passing are Maria Amaya, wife of 34 years; three sons, Jesus 
Amaya Jr. of McAllen, Texas; Julian Amaya and Joel Amaya, both of Bakersfield; 
daughters, Tammy Hernandez of Chicago, Illinois and Apolinar Amaya of Lamont, 
CA and several grandchildren. Burial Mass will be held Tuesday, February 14th, 
at 10 a.m., at St. Augustine with graveside services to follow at Hillcrest.
