Randy Hilburn of the Rosedale Church of Christ will officiate. Serving as casket bearers will be Terry Fabrie, Richard Fabrie, Richard D. Anderson, Tommy Womack, Toby Anderson and Bryan Ringer; serving as honorary bearers will be Richard A. Anderson, Clint Anderson, Billy Douglas Anderson, Steve Colwell, Johnnie McCornack and Rodney McCornack. Ora Anderson, a resident of Bakersfield, (resident of Shafter for 45 years), passed away November 2, 2005, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 2, 1901, in Royce City, Texas. Her family moved to Stonewall, Oklahoma, which was at that time still Indian Territory, where she met Mr. Noah D. Anderson, they were married on October 1, 1918. They moved to Shafter, in 1946, where she helped run a successful farm labor contracting business until their retirement in 1962. The couple raised 9 children. Ora was a member of the Rosedale Church of Christ. Ora was preceded in death by her husband, Noah on August 6, 1989, after 71 years of marriage. She is survived by three sons, Edgar N. Anderson of Dothan, Alabama, Bill Anderson and wife, Mary of Lower Lake, Ca. and Don Anderson and wife Juliana of Bakersfield; six daughters, Pearl McCornack of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Opal Reid of Bakersfield, Zelma Colwell of Wellington, Colorado, Norma Jean and husband, Ben Henkel of Bakersfield, JoAnn and husband, Jack Jones of Bakersfield, and Mary Ellen and husband, John Fabrie of Bakersfield; many grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren. The family of Ora Anderson would like to thank Odyssey Hospice for the loving care given to Ora over the last difficult months and especially nurses, Elisabeth Barnhart and Karen Gregory. A very special debt of gratitude is owed to Dr. Robert Hagen and Dr. Michael Komin of Aviation St. Medical for care and service above and beyond the call of duty.
