Elizabeth L. Abourezk 
March 8, 1917 - May 16, 2005 

Elizabeth Abourezk passed away in Bakersfield on May 16, 2005. She was born in 
El Paso, TX, after living in several other areas she moved to Bakersfield in 
1997 to be with her daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Paul Bristol. Other 
survivors include her sons, Walter Abourezk and family of Bradenton, FL and 
Charles Abourezk and family of Colorado Springs, CO; 13 grandchildren; 14 
great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on 
Thursday, May 19th, at Mish Funeral Home-Oildale, from 4-8 p.m. She will be 
buried on Thursday, May 26th, at the Fort Bliss National Cemetery, in El Paso, 
Texas, alongside her husband, Walter, who preceded her in 1984. There will be 
a celebration of her life, Sunday, May 22nd, in the parlor of First Christian 
Church following morning worship.
