She went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 5, 2005. She was raised on the familys farm in Shafter, and graduated from Shafter High in 1972. She attended Bakersfield College, worked at Mammoth Lakes, and then attended business college in San Diego. She met the love of her life, Scott Wallace, a third generation San Diego native. They were married in Shafter on May 30, 1981. Claire worked as a travel agent and then for PSA as an airline reservationist. A valued employee of 25 years for PSA/US Airways, Claire turned a good job into a fine career where she was loved and respected by her fellow employees both in San Diego and Pittsburg, PA. Claire and Scott traveled together, enjoying trips with family. Claire especially enjoyed the Pennsylvania Amish country where she would spend hours going to various shops with her mother and sisters. Claire took the opportunity to twice fly the SST Concorde with her father to Europe. Claire will be remembered by her loving family and many friends as a person who was happy to do what needed to be done because it was the right thing to do. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Claire is survived by her loving husband, Scott of San Diego; parents, Jim and Marge Albright; sisters, Kathy Enns, husband, Mike and daughter, Ellie, all of Shafter; Kris Briney, husband, Rob, sons, Patrick, Micah and Stefan of Clovis, CA. Also her mother-in-law, Helen Wallace; brother-in-law, Bob Wallace of San Diego and brother-in-law, Don Wallace and wife, Deanne, and children, Kellsi and Bruce of Black Mountain, NC. Thank you to the medical staff at Sharp Memorial Hospital for their tender care and consideration of Claire and her family. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 15, at 11:00 a.m., at the Congregational Church, 430 E. Tulare Ave., in Shafter. Friends will also be gathering for a time of remembrance in San Diego and Pittsburgh.
