Wendell C. Alford 
April 13, 1951 - June 3, 2005 


Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at 10 a.m. at 
Hillcrest Memorial Park, for Wendell C. Alford, 54, who went to be with the 
Lord, June 3, 2005. Pastor Duane Meadors of New Life in Christ Church will 
officiate at the services. Visitation will be held today at Mish Funeral Home, 
120 Minner Ave., from 5-8 p.m. Wendell worked as a private mail carrier for 
the U.S. Postal Service and was employed at Conglas in the maintenance dept. 
for several years. Wendell was warm, loving and caring with a wonderful sense 
of humor. Wendell is preceded in death by his mother, Mary. He is survived by 
wife, Brenda; his father, William Alford; sister and brother-in-law, Devie and 
Joe Blackmon; mother-in-law, Jeannette Barnes and brother-in-law, Kenny 
Maxwell; three nephews, Matthew and Dustin Maxwell and Joey Blackmon; numerous 
aunts, uncles and cousins and many wonderful loving friends. Special thanks to 
Alice Cleveland and the special nurses at Optimal Home Health. Psalms 23
