Alfonso "Poncho" Araujo Sr. 
April 2, 1930 - May 3, 2005


Recitation of the Holy Rosary will held on Sunday, May 8 at 7 p.m. at 
Funeraria del Angel, 4030 Wible Road, Bakersfield and Mass of Christian Burial 
will be celebrated on Monday, May 9, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine 
Catholic Church, Lamont for Alfonso Araujo, Sr., 75, who passed away on May 3, 
2005. Father John Schmoll will be the celebrant. 

Alfonso was born in Chihuahua, Mexico on April 2, 1930 to Lorenzo Araujo and 
Ramona Jimenéz.

He was preceded in death by his son, Lawrence Araujo. Survivors include 
spouse, Maria Refugio Araujo; children, Gemma Lopez, Alfonso Araujo, Jr., 
Odilia Araujo de Camacho and her husband, Ray Camacho, Armando Araujo; sister, 
Eliza Araujo; grandchildren, Azaria Lopez, Abel Lopez, Jr., Alex Araujo, April 
Camacho and Cecelia Camacho and great-grandchildren, Trinity Scott, Taye Scott 
and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Alfonso Araujo, Jr., Armando Araujo, Ray Camacho, Abel Lopez, 
Jr., Eduardo Valenzuela, Juan Trevino, David Flores and Roberto Araujo.
