Robert James Bailey 
Apr. 19, 1961 - Oct. 12, 2005 

Ninilchik resident, Robert James Bailey, 44 died October 12, 2005 at 
Providence Alaska Medical Center. He was born April 19, 1961 in Bakersfield, 
CA. He is survived by a companion Allison Reynolds of Ninilchik, AK; two 
children, Jeremy and Patricia Bailey, both of Ash Grove, MO; his father, 
Robert Bailey of Brandon, OR; a brother, David Bailey of Bakersfield, CA; and 
a sister, Jennifer Black of Woodland, WA. He was preceded in death by his 
mother, Patricia Bailey and a brother, Richard Bailey. Mr. Bailey came to 
Alaska in July of 2005. Robert was a carpenter, he loved inventing new things, 
science, fishing, panning for gold, hiking, music, and art. Roberts companion 
Allison writes... Seeker of truth and child of nature, The best kind of friend 
and a loving father, Friend to the children and animals alike, He shined like 
a star in the darkest night, Inventing solutions for everything, Building the 
homes that fulfill someones dreams, Philosophical thought of the world we live 
in, My companion, my lover, and my best friend, Robert J. Bailey... Super-
Genius. No services are scheduled, his ashes will be scattered in Ninilchik on 
the bluffs.
