Ethel (Marie) Baker 
May 5, 1935 - Dec. 24, 2005 

Marie Baker was born on May 5, 1935, in Mt. Grove Missouri to Arthur and 
Hattie Branson. She was the fourth of seven children. Their family moved to 
Bakersfield in 1943, where her father and mother worked in the fields. Marie 
attended Mt. View School, Bakersfield High and completed High School in Arvin, 
1952. Marie passed away on December 24, 2005 at home. She went to spend 
eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Marie is preceded in death by 
her parents and all her siblings. She is survived by her loving husband 
Charles, her sons; Charles Jr. and wife Jeanne, Dennis and wife Karen; 
daughter Trudy and husband Dennis McDanell. Eleven grandchildren, Jason and 
Nicole, Leslie and Jeremy, Christopher, Jeremy and Chelsea, Bobby, Andy, 
Krissy and Nick. Four grandchildren; Darian, Ethan, Madison and Kylee; other 
family members include in-laws, Boyd Hobbs, Tena Koopman, Martha and Roger 
Brody, Marlys Baker, John Baker, Gloria and Gene Schaffer, many nieces and 
nephews and countless friends. All who knew her will truly miss her loving 
charity and love. Visitation begin today from 3-9 p.m. Services are scheduled 
for Thursday, December 29, 2005, at 1:00 p.m., at Greenlawn Southwest.
