Jimmy E. Baldwin Sr. Feb. 26, 1933 - Jan. 29, 2006 Jimmy Eugene Baldwin, Sr., a Ponca City, Oklahoma resident, passed away in his home on January 29, 2006. He was 72 years of age. A funeral service was held Friday, February 3, 2006 at the First Presbyterian Church, officiated by Rev. Tom Schacher and Rev. Don Stanton. Norene Stanton provided music with songs sung by Dan Webb and Brenda Baldwin, both of Bakersfield, CA. Interment followed at Resthaven Memorial Park, in Ponca City, OK. Jim was born February 26, 1933 at the Ponca City Hospital to Dewey and Anna Baldwin.He attended Ponca City High School where he met Mary Jo Mickey.They graduated with the class of 51 and then married June 23, 1951. Jim retired from Conoco after 30 years of service and then worked ten years for Mertz, Inc. in shipping and receiving. He volunteered at Twice Is Good Thrift Shop supporting mission efforts.He loved traveling, spending time with family, attending sporting events of his grandchildren, and being a dear friend to many. Jim was a member of the Ponca City First Presbyterian Church and leaves a spiritual legacy as he helped build, establish, and assist in several churches and ministries over the past 50 years. He was looking forward to help build one more church. He is survived by his brother, Chris Alan and his wife, Denise of Ponca City, OK; two sons, Jim Jr. and his wife, Brenda of Bakersfield, CA and Mickey Joe and his wife, Marcie of Bartlesville, OK; 6 grandchildren, 6 nephews, 3 nieces, cousins, and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo; his father and mother; along with 3 sisters, Marjory Ann Baldwin, Kaye Marcelee Hoskins, and Madiline Maxine Shay and one infant brother and sister. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jim Baldwin Memorial Building Fund, through the Bartlesville Foursquare Church, P.O. Box 3632, Bartlesville, OK 74006.
