She married George David Branch, on November 8, 1943. They resided in the Southern California area, where they both worked in the aircraft industry, and raised their children. She also worked as a pharmacy tech for a number of years. Debbie was a wonderful wife and mother. She kept a meticulous house, and had a fabulous decorating sense. One of the greatest joys in her life was her grandchildren. She was a second mom to granddaughter Sara. Debbie was also an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW, which she joined in 1980. She served as president of the Auxiliary Post 9791 from 1983 - 1990. She was a life member of Post 9791 and National Home. She also volunteered as a cook for the Guild House, from 1991 - 2002. Debbie was a true lady, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry David Branch and brother, Richard Bamber. She is survived by her husband, George; brother, George Bamber and wife, Betty; sister, Sharon Browning; sister-in-law Lillian Sleep and husband, George; daughter, Jodi Sorteberg and husband, Barry; as well as grandchildren, Ryan Branch, Sara Branch and Elena Fimbres. Special thanks to our Memorial Hospital family, who were so supportive during this difficult time; and also to the Guild House and VFW members whose love and generosity is so appreciated. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 4, 2005, 2:00 p.m., in the chapel at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW will give tribute at graveside.
