Bayless Jan. 10, 1932 - Nov. 14, 2005 Services will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2005, 11:00 a.m., at the Peters Funeral Home Chapel, Shafter, with U.S. Marine Corps Rites and interment to follow at Shafter Memorial Park for Jack L. "Jackie" Bayless, who died at his home on Monday, November 14th after a brief illness. Daughters, Kelley and Suzanne were at his bedside when he peacefully passed away. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 17th, at Peters Funeral Home, Shafter, 5-8 p.m. and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. He is preceded in death by his parents, Iva and T.D. Debs Bayless and his older brother, Gerald Bayless. Survivors include daughters, Kelley Kupfer of Rancho Santa Fe (San Diego), Suzanne Morgan, and their mother Bonnie Bayless, both of Bakersfield; son-in-laws, Dr. David Kupfer and Greg Morgan and nephews, Chan, Chris, and Stan Bayless; 5 grandchildren (whom he affectionately called his pals), Jaclyn Cooper, Kara and Michael Kupfer, and Robert and Andrew Morgan, who will miss their Papa but will carry his loving spirit in their hearts forever. Donations in memory of Jack Bayless may be made to S.T.E.P Up for Kids Foundation, Inc., a national non-profit organization, co-founded by Dr. David and Kelley Kupfer, benefiting children and teens afflicted with depression and/or bipolar disorder.
