Samuel Benavides (Sammy) 
Dec. 17, 1969 - Jan. 4, 2006 

Visitation for Sammy Benavides will be held at St. Thomas Catholic Church (350 
E. Bear Mountain Blvd.) on Sunday, January 8, 2006 from 4:00-8:30 p.m. with 
the Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 
St. Thomas Catholic Church on Monday morning, January 9, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. 
Interment will follow at Arvin Cemetery. Sammy was born December 17, 1969 in 
Bakersfield, CA and he passed away on January 4, 2006 in Arvin, CA. Sammy is 
preceded in death by his father, Pompeyo Benavides. He is survived by his 
mother, Della Benavides; son, Juelian Benavides; sister, Silvia Benavides as 
well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Sammy enjoyed Spanish 
music especially Vicente Fernandez. He loved cruising in his car and hanging 
out with his friends. He was loved by all that knew him and he will be deeply
