Services: Thurs., Oct. 13, 1:00 p.m. 

Visitation for Sonia Bermudez will be held at Greenlawn Mortuary (3700 River 
Blvd.) on Wednesday, October 12, 2005, from 5:00 9:00 p.m. and the Rosary will 
be recited at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of 
Perpetual Help, 124 Columbus St., on Thursday afternoon, October 13, 2005, at 
1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. Sonia was born April 
27, 1976, in Bakersfield, CA. She attended Noble Elementary, Washington Jr. 
High and graduated from Highland High School with the class of 1995. She was 
attending Bakersfield College and was planning on entering the X-Ray 
Technician program in the winter. She was employed at Memorial Hospital. She 
was a loving and giving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, niece, wife, 
stepmother and friend. Sonia was born with a congenital heart condition. She 
knew what she had was special; an opportunity to live life, and she never let 
it pass her by. Sonia always lived life to the fullest and was always smiling 
and laughing. Thats what made Sonia so special. She went home to be with the 
Lord due to complications of her condition on October 7, 2005. Sonia is 
survived by her husband, Jesse Vasquez and his daughter, Alysa Vasquez whom 
Sonia loved and adored as her own. She is also survived by her parents, Rafael 
G. and Maria de la Luz Bermudez; sister and brother-in-law, Maria and James 
Cronjager; brother and sister-in-law, Jaime and Alicia Bermudez; nephew, 
Joseph Bermudez and niece, Joselyn Bermudez; brother, Ernesto Bermudez and 
family, four half-siblings, and godchildren, Corina, Tomas and Victor, and 
numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Casket bearers will be Steven 
Lopez, Joel Vasquez, Humberto Vasquez, Dimas Najera, Cristobal Baeza, Luis 
Baeza Jr., David Soto and Lupe (Joe) Soto. She will be deeply missed by all 
that knew her. For additional service information or floral delivery
