Pastor Dennis Hilken will officiate and interment will follow in Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park, 2739 Panama Lane. Kay was born in Rickey, Montana on July 7, 1936. She graduated from Montana State University in 1957 and then married the love of her life, Louis A. Boll. They were blessed with three children and enjoyed 48 beautiful years together. Kay and Lou made their home in Bakersfield in 1971 where she pursued her career in education, eventually becoming the Principal of Emerson Jr. High. Kays passion in life included golfing, square dancing, traveling with her friends and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hans and Olive Blaszek. Kay is survived by her loving husband, Lou; her daughter, Terri Small; her son, Brian and his wife, Jennie; her daughter, Sally Mullen and her husband, John; grandchildren, Brandon, Blaine, Jordan, Katelyn, Jaycee, Jaylin, Chelsea, Nick and little Skyler; sisters, Sharon Carrier and her husband, Rod, and Dixie Malone and her husband, Bob. Kays love of life, family and friends, will continue to beat strongly within our hearts. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Rosewood Retirement Assistant Living and all who were involved in caring for our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Pallbearers include Brian and Brandon Boll, John Mullen, Blaine Foreshee, Rod Carrier, Art Lutes and Jack Doyle. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association in Kays name.
