Mrs. Dennis lived in Bakersfield, mostly in the Oildale area, for the past 31 years. During that time, she was mainly employed as a legal secretary; working first under the employ of attorney Robert J. Cook and then, for the past 24 years, attorney Joseph Pluta. She was born in 1934 in Tomahawk, Wisconsin and graduated from Tomahawk High School in 1952. She was married in 1954 and gave birth to her only child, Cynthia Roberge Prangley, in 1954. Survivors include Mrs. Prangley and her husband, Arthur of Orange, California; sister, Linda Brownson and her husband, Fred of McKenzie Bridge, Oregon; granddaughter, Sheila Fisher and her husband, Randy of Trabuco Canyon, California; and, what was the newfound joy of her life, great- grandson, Grayden Fisher. Last, but certainly not least, Godson, Andy Pringle of Bakersfield who generously gave so much of his love and time to her care during the later years of her life. Her other survivors can think of no way to adequately thank him for his loving care. She was preceded in death by her brother, William E. Brady, Jr., late of Pensacola, Florida. Mrs. Dennis loved pets, gambling, reading, and crocheting. She will be missed by her many relatives and friends. A private memorial service for friends and family will be held January 14, 2006. The family would like any remembrances to be sent in her name to the American Lung Association. Legacy.com Published in the Bakersfield Californian on 12/11/2005.
