Jessie Donald Brown (J.D.) 
Apr. 18, 1929 - Dec. 27, 2005 

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2006, at 10:00 a.m., 
at Hillcrest Memorial Park. J.D. was born in Wolf, Oklahoma. He moved to Buhl, 
Idaho where he married Dorothy Donner on December 31, 1949. After working many 
years in the drilling and production of oil he began his successful backhoe 
business in Bakersfield. After semi-retirement he enjoyed horse racing and 
raising exotic roosters. J.D. was preceded in death by his parents, Charley 
and Fern; brothers, Lee and Bob. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; brother, 
Lonnie and wife, Judy; sisters, Betty McMurdie and Beverly Hollenbeck; 
daughter, Jeri Cheatwood; sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Carol Bryant 
and Duaine and Betty Brown; and grandchildren, Troy Davis, Lori Hall, Jeff 
Cheatwood, TyLyn Fisher, Sheri Poulton, Katy Brown, Jacob Brown and by seven 
great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Evelyn ODonnell; brothers-in-law, Gary and 
Bob Donner and numerous family and friends. J.D. wanted to give a special 
thank you to Tom Byford and Bill Smith. The family wanted to express their 
gratitude to Optimal Hospice Care. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 3, 
2006, from 4-8 p.m., at Mish Funeral Home-Oildale.
