Katherine Duffey Brown 
Dec. 19, 1930 - Sept. 9, 2005 

Viewing and visitation will start Friday, September 16, 2005, from 1 p.m. to 7 
p.m., with a meditation service to be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Beloved 
Care Funeral Services, 115 18th Street. Funeral service to be held on 
Saturday, September 17, 2005, at St. Paul C.O.G.I.C., 405 Martin Luther King 
Blvd., at 11:00 a.m. for Katherine Duffey Brown, who passed away September 9, 
2005. Interment will immediately follow at Union Cemetery. Katherine Duffey 
Brown was born December 19, 1930, in Forney, Texas, to the late Mrs. Cora 
(Hearn) Duffey and Deacon West Duffey. Katherine was preceded in death by her 
four sisters, Helen Jacobs, Missionary Geraldine Lawson, District Missionary 
Lucille Howard and Pearline Clark; six brothers, Bishop Nathaniel Duffey, Sr., 
Charley, Welton, Rev. Isaiah, A.B., and Jessy Duffey. She leaves to cherish 
her memories, one younger sister, Rubye M. Ash of Bakersfield; three brothers, 
Herman Duffey of Bakersfield; Superintendent Nathan Duffey of Fort Worth and 
Superintendent W.D. H. Beatrice Duffey of Pittsburg; a devoted loving nephew, 
Pastor James L. Murphy, Jr.; a special great-nephew, Jay; a compassionate 
friend, Evangelist Missionary Carolyn Hodge; and a host of nieces, nephews, 
cousins and friends. For all additional service information please call (661)
