Pastor Edward Choat will officiate. Mom was raised in Delano, CA. She met her husband through her younger sister (Thank you, Aunt Toot). They married on February 25, 1959, and resided in Bakersfield. They had a devoted marriage of 35 years. Mom worked as a waitress during her younger years. At age 36, mom and dad had a little too much fun one night and became parents all over again. Mom gave up waitressing and became a homemaker. Mom attended Sonrise Church of God. She was very devoted to her faith. Mom was diagnosed with cancer in 2002. She stood strong and faced it, saying it is in the Lords hands. Through her own battle she never stopped giving a lending hand, a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen. God put mom on this earth for many reasons. His sole purpose was to prove there really are angels on this earth. That she was an angel. The Lord decided it was time. Through the years of giving, loving, helping devotion and accepting. The Lord felt she had earned her wings and she could no longer be borrowed. On November 3, 2005, the Lord took her home. Now that she has earned her wings she can soar through Heaven, look down, and watch over us. For now she is our Guardian Angel.
