Birdie Louise Smith
Services: Wed., May 4, 1:00 p.m.

Graveside services will be held in Santa Paula Cemetery, Santa Paula, CA, for 
Birdie Louise Smith, 82, who passed away April 30, 2005, in Bakersfield. Mr. 
Mike Johnson will officiate. 

Mrs. Smith was born on August 30, 1922, in Reed Springs, Missouri and resided 
in Kern County for 15 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Barker in 1976; 
five brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her husband, Joe. J. Smith 
of Bakersfield; daughters and sons-in-law, April and Robert Barton of Shafter, 
CA and Jill and Josh Nordgulen of Houston, TX; son, Gregory Barker of Santa 
Paula, CA; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and sister, Thelma 
J. Britt of Fillmore, CA.

Visitation will be today, Tuesday, 5 - 9 p.m., at Greenlawn Mortuary, 3700 
River Blvd.
