Betty Jean McGerty
April 17, 1931 - March 12, 2005

Private services will be held for Betty McGerty, 73, a 4-year area resident. 

She was born in Terrytown, New York and had been a resident of Sullivan 
County, New York for many years. She was a homemaker who loved to cook and 
especially enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Diane M. and Phil Auer; 
grandsons, Jeffrey P. McDonald, Jr. and Joseph G. McDonald and his wife, 
Jaime; great-grandchildren, Noah James and Joshua Andrew McDonald; her brother 
and sister-in-law, Kenneth E. and Ellen Bingham and nieces and nephews, Cathy 
Alymer and her husband, Mike, Barbara Cannon and her husband, Ralph, Kim 
Martin and her husband, Chris, Mary Lowe and her husband, Peter, Peggy E. 
McCormick and her husband, Brian, and Kenneth E. Bingham; nephew and niece, 
James A. Bingham III and Gayle Ann Bingham; grand-nieces and grand-nephews, 
Lindsay and Colby Denman, Samantha and Randi Cannon, Courtney and Cristol 
Cannon, Elisabeth and Bryan Lowe, and Laurie, Joseph and Scott Morris. She was 
preceded in death by her brother, James A. Bingham and her nephew, Joseph 
Patrick Bingham. Betty will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
