Marilyn was born July 5, 1938 in Middletown, Ohio to Francis and Frances Black. Marilyn moved to the Tehachapi area in 1985 to be near her family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, cherished friend, helpful neighbor and a very giving person who enjoyed her Indian heritage, pow- wows, and wild west shows. Marilyn lived and loved life to the fullest and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her daughters, Laura Johnson and husband Miguel, of Tehachapi, Lynne Monken and husband Andy, of Portland, Oregon, Mari Conroy, of Bakersfield, and Marie Willoughby, of Idaho; sons, Charles Dailey Jr., of Sacramento, David Dailey and his wife Marti, of Kentucky, Jeff Dailey, of Ventura, and Tom Bass and his wife Traci, of Tehachapi; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Gene Pope, of Alaska; and beloved companion, Bruce Dunn, of Tehachapi. She was predeceased by her husband, Loren Wyble, in 1999. Pastor Tom Allred, Minister Randall Whitefeather, Cherokee Medicine Priest, and Richard Lonewolf, Cherokee Medicine Man, officiated at the service. Wood Family Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
