She was the widow of Reuben John Boe. She was born May 10, 1917, in Mason City, Nebraska. She was a resident of Bakersfield for over 60 years. Marcia retired from the Kern County Library at the age of 70. She enjoyed the fellowship of friends and other faithful believers as a member of the Baptist Church on Olive Drive. With them she was able to travel to the Holy Land. Other friends of Marcia were the ladies at TOPS. She enjoyed their company and their achievements as well as hers. Marcia was a very unselfish and giving person, never thinking of her needs above the needs of others. Through the years, she was a consistent and patient volunteer for ballot counting on elections. As a blood donor at Hoskins Blood Bank, her donations went beyond the Gallon Club. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. Psalms 116:15. Marcias death is not sad or depressing end to a long life, but instead her death is the beginning of her glorious advent into Christs eternal Kingdom. Her rewards will be many. And her life with God joyful and everlasting. Survivors include her eldest son, Donald Boe of Houston, Texas. Larry Boe of Oceanside, CA; and her youngest son, Benny Boe of La Mesa, CA; nine grandchidlren; nine great-grandchildren.
