Darrell Keith Bone
June 16, 1942 – July 19, 2005

Darrell Keith Bone, 63, passed away on July 19, 2005 in Tehachapi.

He was born on June 16, 1942, in San Bernardino to Harold and Patricia Bone. 
In 1972, he married Dee Blake in Angelus Oaks. 

Darrell was employed by Southern California Edison for 34 years, transferring 
to Tehachapi in 1983 from Glendora. He also worked as a liaison between 
Southern California Edison and the wind farms. 

He was a member of the Southern Sierra Amateur Radio Society and was a Ham 
Operator for many years. He was affectionately known by his friends 
as “Hambone.” 

After his retirement in 1996, Darrell and Dee sold their home to travel full 
time all over the United States. But they frequently returned to Tehachapi to 
visit with family and friends.

Darrell is survived by his loving wife, Dee Bone of Tehachapi; daughters, 
Kelly Bullard and husband Ed and Lori Tomasko and husband Ray, all of 
Tehachapi, and Sheryl Bone of Florissant, Colo.; son, Randall Bone and wife 
Mary of Sheridan, Wyo.; grandchildren, Kristen, Ryan, Ty, Matt, Evan, Adam, 
Alex, Joe, Jason and Jordan; great-grandson, Cody; brothers, Dennis Bone and 
wife Val of San Bernardino, Don Bone and wife Donna of Ukiah, and Stan Watkins 
and wife Ester of San Bernardino; brother-in-law, Steve Blake and wife Sandy 
of Angelus Oaks; numerous nieces and nephews; many wonderful friends; and his 
constant companion, his dog, Abby. He will be missed by all.

There will be no services per his wishes. Wood Family Funeral services handled 
the arrangements.
