Danny was born in Hanford, California on March 1, 1960 to Manuel and Josephine Borges. He was raised and educated in Laton and graduated from Laton High School in 1978 where he was active in basketball and tennis. He attended West Hills College in Coalinga, pursuing a degree in Agriculture Science. Danny moved to Bakersfield, California in 1985 to make his home. He was employed by Costco as a Cashier for over 10 years. He enjoyed Karate, Shiatsu massage therapy, body building, camping and bowling. He also enjoyed traveling, especially to Alaska, being a disc jockey and spending time with his family and friends. Danny was a very active guy and he loved life. Danny was preceded in death by his father, Manuel and 3 brothers, Joe, George and John and is survived by his mother, Josephine Borges of Hardwick, CA; sisters, Judy Vargas and husband, Larry of Hanford, CA and Marlene Gomes and husband, Manuel of Hanford, CA; brothers, Manuel Borges Jr. and wife, Mary of Hardwick, CA, Elmer Borges and wife, Sharon of Hanford, CA and Tony Borges of Arkansas; sister-in-law, Grace Borges of Hanford, CA; his special Bakersfield and Fresno families; numerous nieces, nephews and many, many friends and his pet cat, Taz. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima in Laton, California On Friday, August 5, 2005, at 9:30 a.m. with burial at Oak Grave Cemetery, in Laton, CA.
