Louise Marie Brancato
Services: Friday, May 13, 11 a.m.

Louise Marie Brancato, 97, of Bakersfield, died of natural causes on Saturday, 
May 7, 2005, at Oakdale Heights, Bakersfield. She was known by everyone as 
Grandmom. 

Mrs. Brancato, born May 4, 1908, in Philadelphia, PA, had been a resident of 
Ventura County since 1965; she lived her final eleven months in Bakersfield.

A faithful Christian of the Church of Christ, she was a loving daughter, 
faithful wife, wonderful mother and priceless grandmother and great-
grandmother.

Mrs. Brancato is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Brancato; her son, 
Robert J. Brancato and six sisters and brothers. She is survived by three 
daughters, Lillian P. Sullivan of Maui, HI; Elaine S. Foster and husband, 
Richard B. of Levittown, PA; Gloria M. Fili and husband, Walter of Dover, DE; 
and daughter-in-law, Drema L. Duncan of Bakersfield, her loving friend and 
caregiver. She also is survived by 12 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

Grandmom was loved by a whole host of people who knew her for her strong 
motherly instinct, hospitality for family and friends, and her devotion to the 
Lord.

The family thanks the staff at Oakdale Heights and Hospice for their loving 
care and thoughtfulness.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 13, at Conejo 
Mountain Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Camarillo, with Frank Brancato 
officiating. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
