Margie Harral was born on December 22, 1911 in Los Angeles, CA to Arthur and Della Bratton. The family moved to Ventura, CA, where she grew up and graduated from high school. She moved to Bakersfield and met the love of her life, Al Harral Jr., they were married and had one son Alfred Harral III. Margie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and a dear friend to many. Little ones she knew closely would fondly call her grandma. She was highly skilled at cooking, crocheting and sewing. She was generous and a wonderful example of Christian love, always making lovely crochet items for friends and being there when they needed a friend. In her later years, Margie enjoyed spending long hours listening to music. She loved the Hymn, What a Friend We Have in Jesus, for it was her fathers favorite. She knew what was important, her faith in Jesus Christ. As Paul writes in Philippians 2:8 Yes everything else is worthless when compared with the priceless gain of Knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. Margie is survived by her loving husband, Alfred Harral Jr; her son, Alfred Harral III and his wife, Maryann of Bethel Island, CA; grandson, Bill Harral; niece, Ann Figueroa from Oxnard; nephew, Bob Cordero from Arizona; and many friends who loved her. Visitation will be Thursday 4 to 8 p.m. Legacy.com Published in the Bakersfield Californian on 7/20/2005. Additional Comments: Volunteer submission - No relation to deceased.
