Bailey December 26, 1915 - May 5, 2005 Graveside services will be held Friday, May 13th, at 10:00 a.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., for Ione Breinholt Bailey, 89, of Magalia, who passed away May 5, 2005. President Val Taylor will conduct the services. Ione was born December 26, 1915 in El Paso, Texas. She was a graduate of Phoenix High School in Phoenix, AZ, and earned her B.A. and Teaching Credential from Arizona State. She taught at the Indian Reservations in Arizona until her acceptance at Vanderbilt University, where she went on to receive her B.S.N. degree. After graduation from Vanderbilt, Ione moved to Bakersfield where she resided until three years ago when she moved to Magalia to be with her daughter. She worked for the Kern County Public Health Department for about eight years. It was there that she met her future husband, Mr. Bailey. Ione then went to work as the High School Nurse at B.H.S., where she stayed for 23-24 years, until her retirement in 1977. After retiring, Ione served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in South Dakota. Survivors include her daughter, Beverly Davis of Magalia; grandchildren, Susie and Steve Deason, Becky and Daniel Reno and Rick Davis, all of Bakersfield; great-granddaughter, Lauren Reno, and two more great-grandchildren on the way; brothers, Robert Breinholt of Freedom, WY and Leroy Breinholt of Mesa, AZ; many nieces and nephews and very dear friend, Lillian Stewart of Colorado.
