Carl attended high school in Evansville then joined the Indiana State Guard in 1942. He served in the U. S. Army from 1943- 1946. He then came to California and worked at North American as a cost estimators in the late 1950's. Carls education was quite extensive, starting with his bachelors degree from UCLA, he worked with the court system thru the Dept. Of Social Services. His calling was to help families with domestic violence. He then worked toward and received a degree of Master of Science with a major in counseling. He worked at USC, county hospital as a psychiatric social worker. He then became a re- hab counselor at USC Medical Center during the time he made a difference in a number of lives with his support, financially and emotionally. Carl is survived by his niece, Sylvia Sheeran; nephew, Mike Voyles; great-nephews, Phil, Ken, Mike and great-niece, Kathy; great-great-nephews, Brandon and Chad and great-great-niece, Christina. Also his sister-in-law, Margaret Sicuranza; adopted son, Dane Sadd and longtime friend, Joy Amos. A special thank you to his caregiver Josephine, he was blessed to have her his last remaining months.
