Roy L. Buck
July 8, 1926 - May 1, 2005

Memorial services will be held Fri., May 6, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. at 310 Hudson 
Drive for Roy L. Buck who passed away in his daughters home, May 1, 2005 at 
the age of 78. 

Roy was the son of Lenard and Gladys Buck of Tryon, Oklahoma and brother of 
Ray, Jack, Bob and Johnny Buck, also of Oklahoma. 

He is survived by his two sons, Larry L. Buck, wife Barbara, Michael R. Buck, 
wife Carolyn; two daughters Carole R. Hensley, Nita M. Buck; four 
granddaughters, Bobbi Carnes, Kristie, Trisha Buck, Sara Hensley; three 
grandsons, Brandon, Dillion, Calab; and five great-grandchildren, Shelby, 
Peyton, Jace, Brendon and Kevin.

Roy was simple man who loved to work cattle with his longtime friends Windell 
Nelson and Stan Cooper. For 23 years, he gathered cattle on many of the 
ranches in and around Bakersfield on his horse, Nugget. He always felt he 
should have been born 100 years before he was because he always had the heart 
and soul of a cowboy.

His second love was fishing with his buddy Cliff Brownlee who always said, Roy 
was his good luck charm. Night or day, Roy was always ready to go catch the 
big ones. When he wasnt fishing, he was helping Cliff make lures for the next 
fishing trip.

Roy has left behind many friends and family who love and miss him. He will 
never be forgotten and will live on in our hearts.

We would like to thank Optimal Hospice for the special and kind people they 
have working for them and the care they gave to Roy.
