Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Bill was born in Dubuque, Iowa, on December 3, 1928 and passed away June 14, 2005 in Bakersfield, CA, where he resided forty seven years. He enjoyed being a football referee, baseball coach, and a soccer coach. He was involved in the creation of the San Felipe Boys Home, and was a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus. He also was the owner/operator for Northern Engines and branch manager for Waukesha Engines. Bill enjoyed football, square dancing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Genevieve and Mathew Butimore and son, Michael. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia Butimore; daughters, Kathleen Bryant of Bakersfield, CA; Theresa Riggi of Zevenhuizen, Netherlands; sons, Edward Butimore, Paul Butimore, both of Bakersfield, CA; sister, Jeanne Williams of Fullerton, CA; and 8 grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. Family is suggesting any donations be made to the San Clemente Pipe Organ Restoration Fund.
