Shirley Brawner Byers
Dec. 9, 1942 - Mar. 30, 2005

Shirley was born in Avenal, California, to Truman Tex and Eleanor Brawner. She 
died at home with her husband by her side. Her short battle with cancer is now 
over. 

She married her high school sweetheart, Bob Byers in June 1961. Completed her 
college education in 1974 becoming an RN. She worked at Memorial and Mercy 
Hospitals in Bakersfield prior to moving to Oroville in 1989, where she 
continued to work as an RN.

She was preceded in death by both parents. She leaves behind her husband, Bob; 
two sons, Mark his wife, Pam; Matt and his wife, Brady; 3 grandchildren, Josh, 
Roxann and Adam; 2 sisters, Nancy Long of Bakersfield, and Becci Kimball of 
Federal Way, WA.

Shirley Will Be Missed By All

A memorial at the Byers home in Oroville is planned for Saturday, April 9, 
2005.
