Joseph (Joe) P. Cabral 
Services: Fri., Nov. 4, 10:00 a.m. 

Memorial service will be held Friday, November 4, 2005, 10:00 a.m., at Mish 
Funeral Home Chapel-Oildale, CA. Joe P. Cabral was born in Tulare, California 
on January 8, 1924 and he passed away peacefully on October 30, 2005, in 
Bakersfield, CA. Preceded in death by his sister, Mary Costa, Joe is survived 
by his wife, Marc Cabral; sisters, Ethel and Angelina; son, Michael Cabral; 
cousins, Manuel and Angie Andrade; nieces, nephews and many friends. Joe 
graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1944. After graduating he was a bus 
driver for the Bakersfield School District. He bought an 18-wheeler, moved to 
Los Angeles and started his trucking business, LA Eureka Trucking, which he 
ran for 55 years. His main love was horses. When Joe retired, he became a full-
time cowboy. He was a well known Cutter and won numerous awards, including 
buckles and saddles. Joe and his wife, Marc, moved to Bakersfield in 2003, so 
that he could be closer to his sister, Mary Costa. A special thanks to all the 
gals at California Care, who took such good care of Joe. He will be watching 
over all of you. Joe loved his horse, Sugar Rider. When you think of him, 
picture Joe and Sugar Rider galloping on the clouds of Heaven.
