Meredith Lorraine Carleton 
Aug. 16, 1916 - Dec. 25, 2005 

Visitation for Meredith Lorraine Carleton will be held at Basham Funeral Care 
(3312 Niles Street) on Thursday, December 29, 2005 from 10:00 1:00 P.M. with 
funeral services beginning at 1:00 P.M. A second visitation will be held at 
Boise Funeral Home (308 Pollasky Ave. Clovis, CA) on Friday, December 30, 2005 
from 11:00-2:00 P.M. Graveside services will be held at Clovis Cemetery on 
Saturday, January 5, 2006 at 11:30 A.M. Meredith, 89, passed away at the 
residence of her daughter, Colleen M. Parham on Sunday, December 25, 2005 
after a long illness. She was born August 16, 1916 in Los Angeles, California, 
the daughter of Edwin Wikes White and Amelia Jane Thompson. She had two older 
brothers, Ray and Forrest White. Meredith married Carrol Robert Romar 
September 18, 1934 and together they had three children. After Carrols death 
in 1974, she married Russell Wainwright Carleton, now deceased, in 1977. Her 
daughter Lorraine Carrol Sutton died in 1984. She is survived by her son and 
daughter-in-law, Robert M. and Audrey Romar; daughter and son-in-law, Colleen 
M. and Walter Parham; grandchildren, Darren R. Romar, Cynthia M. Wilson and 
her husband Ryan, Marci L. Fleisher and her husband Steve, Adam S. Parham, 
Mathew C. Parham and his wife Melinda, Roxann Koman and her husband Mike; 
twelve great grandchildren as well as many other family members and friends. 
Meredith was a member of the JAZZ SOCIETY of Fresno and she was an associate 
member of the American Legion Cecil Cox Post 147, Fresno. For additional
