William (Bill) Carroll 
12/25/1937 - 1/21/2006 

Bill was born in Tularosa, New Mexico, raised in Holbrook, Arizona and had 
resided in Bakersfield for the past 28 years. He served three years in the 
Army as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne. He drove tanker trucks for many 
years, but was partners in C&R Automotive for the last 15 years. He was 
preceded in death by his brother, Bob Carroll. He is survived by his wife of 
almost 26 years, Cathy; sister, Margaret Gerchar of Chicago, IL; brother, Jim 
Carroll; daughter, Sheri Harvey and husband, Ted; son, William Carroll Jr. and 
wife, Charmaine; grandsons, Jason, Chad, Nicholas and Shane; granddaughters, 
Ashley and Serina and great-grandson, Jacob, all of Bakersfield. He will be 
missed by many good friends and customers. Arrangements have made through 
Hillcrest Memorial Park. Viewing will be on Saturday, January 28th, from 1-5 
p.m. Interment of ashes will be in the Garden of Serenity on Tuesday, January 
31st, at 11:00 a.m.
