He was surrounded by the love and prayers of family and friends. He was a sixty one year old native of Houma, Louisiana, and resident of Bakersfield, CA, for the past six years. Larry is survived and will forever be lovingly remembered as devoted husband to Gloria Nowlin Cheramie; beloved father to Nicole Cheramie Lobello and loving father in law to Robert N. Lobello; adored grandfather (Poppy) to Julia M. and Ethan R. Lobello; dear brother of Hick Skippy Cheramie, III, Huey P. Campbell, Jr., Victoria Istre, Cheryl and Kristina Campbell; caring godfather to Brandy Bergeron, Hick Lil Skip Cheramie, IV, and Huey Tucker Campbell, III; along with cherished friend and family member to a score of others for whom he cared so deeply. Larry is preceded in death by his father, Hick Joseph Cheramie, Jr.; his mother, Lorraine Boudreaux Campbell; and his grandparents Jefferson and Mathilda Boudreaux. Dearest Larry, Daddy, and Poppy we will be reunited with you in Gods Kingdom; we know, as always, you are just paving the way for us to follow. A memorial service at Valley Baptist Church at 4800 Fruitvale Ave, Bakersfield, CA, 93308 (661) 393-5683, will be held on Monday, December 5, at 10:00 a.m. to celebrate Larrys life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the American Cancer Society or Valley Baptist Church Building Fund in remembrance of Larry.
