Iva Werdna Edwards Cole 
9/10/1916 - 1/17/2006 

She was born in Stigler, Oklahoma to Marion Lee (POP) Edwards and Cora Ellen 
Gilliam Edwards. Three months after Iva was born her mother died of Malaria 
and Typhoid Fever. After this Iva went to live with her maternal grandparents, 
Doni and John Gillum. She stayed with her grandmother until Grandma could no 
longer care for her and then went to live with father. When she was 15 she met 
Herbert Anderson Cole whom she married on Christmas Eve December 24, 1932. Hub 
and Iva were married until his passing on May 15, 1989. To this union 8 
children were born: Jim (LaVern) Cole, Bill (Betty) Cole, the twins, Kerin 
(Hervey) Andrews, Lowell (Nancy) Cole, Sharon (Jim); Milledge, Judy Maxwell, 
Sandra (Paul) Nordin and Tanya (Dawn) Pitts; 22 grandchildren and many great 
and great-great-grandchildren. Iva attended the Oildale SDA Church where a 
memorial service will be held Friday, January 20, 2006, at 11:00 a.m.
