All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ca/cafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: K T bluewolf@onemain.com September 16, 2005, 12:14 am The Bakersfield Californian Cordonier, Lorene Luttrell 1916 - 2005 Lorene Luttrell Cordonier Sept. 9, 1916 - Sept. 9, 2005 Visitation for Lorene Luttrell Cordonier will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles Street) on Friday evening, September 16, 2005 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Chapel services will be held in the Basham Funeral Care Chapel on Saturday morning, September 17, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. A luncheon will be held at East Hills Christian Church (2500 Fairfax Road) following the interment. Lorene was born September 9, 1916 in Cold Spring, Missouri and she passed away on her birthday September 9, 2005 in Camarillo, California with her family at her bed side. She was one of eight children born to Jacob and Susan Luttrell. Lorene is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Cordonier; daughter-in-law, Toni Cordonier; brothers, Ted, Floyd and Willard Luttrell; sisters, Marie Schroeder and Cammie Meridith Duncan. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Mary Cordonier of Camarillo, CA; sons, Darrell and Jerry Cordonier of Medford, OR and sister-in-law, Dorothy Cordonier of Bakersfield, CA. Her loving legacies include 68 years of marriage, 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great- grandchildren. In addition to being a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker, Lorene worked as an Aircraft Maintenance Welder, a Department Manager for E.D. Middlebrooks, a Bookkeeper with Smart and Final and a Credit Manager for Sears in Bakersfield, California. Lorene enjoyed the company of her family, church friends and neighbors. She was such a kind Grandmother, the grandchildren loved her dearly. Music was something she enjoyed. In her earliest days she sat on the porch with her brothers and sisters singing and taking vocal instruction from her dad Jacob Luttrell. She was so attached to her father, he called her his little lady bug. She was a member of Eastern Star for the past 58 years and a faithful member of East Hills Christian Church in Bakersfield until she moved to Camarillo to be with family members.
