James Gus Cazacus, Jr. 
Dec. 21, 1956 - Aug. 22, 2005 

Funeral services for Jim Cazacus will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, August 
26, 2005, at Hillcrest Memorial Chapel. Visitation begins Thursday, 4 to 8 
p.m., at Hillcrest Mortuary. Jim Cazacus, 48, was born on December 21, 1956 in 
Bakersfield to James and Georgie Cazacus and passed away on August 22, 2005. 
Jim received his BA from Cal State Bakersfield. He was partners with his late 
father Jim Sr. in their construction business, taking them to Wofford Heights 
and Tehachapi. Jim enjoyed weight lifting and dabbling in the stock market. 
Most enjoyable to Jim was being Uncle Buck to his niece and nephew, Stephanie 
and Matthew Hammons, going to their athletic events and always being involved 
in their lives. Jim was preceded in death by his father, James Sr. He is 
survived by his mother, Georgie; sister, Jennifer and brother-in-law, Mike 
Hammons; niece, Stephanie and nephew, Matthew; godson, Nick Vlahos; as well as 
numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Jim was a unique and caring son, brother 
and uncle, and will be missed by all of us. In lieu of flowers, please make 
donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 1712 19th Street, 
Bakersfield, CA 93301.
