Harry Chambers, 79, born and raised in Bakersfield, California, passed away on May 7, 2005, after a brief illness. Harry was a loving husband to Jacquita Chambers for 57 years. A loving father to Melvin Chambers of Ojai, Susan Levandoski of Clovis, Rodger Chambers of Bakersfield and Barbara Chambers of Bakersfield. Grandfather of 15 and a great- grandfather of 3. He graduated from Bakersfield High School class of 43, joined the Merchant Marines to serve his country during WWII. He was an active member in the Caledonia Masonic Lodge, an electrician by trade and a member of the IBEW 428. He was an Electrical Inspector for the Building Depts. of Ventura and Kern countries until he retired in November of 1986. Then continued as an Electrical Consultant to private industries until his death. Harry was an active member of Calvary Chapel Fellowship. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, camping, barbecuing, baking, and the good conversation with his family and friends. Services will be held at Greenlawn Memorial, 3700 River Blvd., Thursday, May 12, 2005, at 1:30 p.m., in the chapel.
