Maryland Maxine Chandler, the daughter of Brooks Chandler and Barbara Maddox, was born November 13, 1944 in Wewoka, Oklahoma. She moved to Bakersfield at an early age where she graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1963. Maxine accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age. Maxine moved to Pasadena, California, in 1968 and later moved to North Hollywood, California. She was employed for 27 years at Cedars-Sinai in various capacities. She relocated to Bakersfield, California on August 1, 2005. Her life came to an end at Mercy Southwest Hospital, August 24, 2005. Maxine leaves to cherish her memory her Mother, Barbara Maddox; three brothers, Michael Brown of Bakersfield; Kenneth Chandler of Los Angeles, California, Ellis Chandler of Pomona, California; three sisters, Diana Chandler of Pomona, California, Beverly Chandler and Sharon Chandler of Los Angeles, California; A special niece, Adaris Brown who is currently working in Afghanistan; two special cousins, Virginia Cole and Marcia Brown of Pasadena, California; one aunt, Marguerie Jones of Bakersfield, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
