Davis Rose Funeral Home, 1800 Brundage Lane near H Street for Chris Church, who went home to be with the Lord on July 5. Chris was born on March 28, 1954. She was very active in school and attained many awards, attended some college. She traveled to the Job Corp, next the Army to Europe. Her tour was 1973 to 1976. She received Marksman M16 and National Defense Service Medals. She was employed by Lockheed for several years as an electronic technician. Next, she was a psych tech for Porterville Hospital. The last few years she resided in Bakersfield where she spread her unselfish goodwill among all of us. She always thought of everyone first! Chris was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Shirley Church; grandpa Cecil Church. Chris is survived by her stepmom, Norma Church; her brother, Steve Church and Rhonda, wife and family; her sister Karen Hillyard and Frank, husband and family; stepbrother Danny Tucker and Cindy, wife and family; stepgrandma Maude Church; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and so many numerous loving friends who shared her unselfish love and kindheartedness.
