Entombment will follow at Union Cemetery Mausoleum. Nellie was born October 23, 1913, to Italian immigrant parents, Carola and Pietro Fabbri in Bakersfield. She attended local schools and worked in the family business, Pioneer Nursery, as a young child. She loved flowers and the floral business. She became owner of Pioneer Nursery in 1945 and worked well into her eighties, growing flowers and making beautiful floral arrangements. Nellie was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Coffee; son, Leslie Coffee; sisters, Teresa Martini, Londa Jackson, and Angelina Babe Williams. She is survived by Leslies wife, Diane Coffee of Tempe, AZ; three grandchildren, Tina Coffee of Mesa, AZ, Tracy Graves (Jeff) of Ft. Worth, TX, and Tressa McAndrew (Robert) of San Marcos, CA; six great-grandchildren, Shaye, Blaine, Tyler, Krystal, Payton and Kole. She was lovingly cared for during her battle with Alzheimers disease by her nieces, Nina Martini and Ruby McMahan and grand- niece and nephews, Sandra Siercks, Mike Martini and David McMahan. She is also survived by her great-nephews, Michael Martini and John Siercks and great- niece, Leah Helston, and great-great-nephew and niece, Ethan and Eden. Pallbearers will be Mike Martini, Michael Martini, David McMahan, Blaine Coffee, Robert McAndrew and Tyler McAndrew. Nellie loved people, lived simply, worked hard and gave of herself. She will be greatly missed, but we know that she is just one step ahead of us.
