Minnie L. Coit 
October 15, 1915 - May 22, 2005 

Services: Friday, May 27, 11 a.m. 

Minne L. Coit passed away peacefully on May 22, 2005. She was born in the 
Panama/Old River area on October 15, 1915. Spent her early years attending 
General Shafter Elementary School via horseback and graduating from Kern Union 
High School (now Bakersfield High School). She met her beloved Marvin while in 
High School and married shortly thereafter, spending a lifetime in love and 
residing the majority of their years in Kern County and his final years in 
Cayucos, California. Minnie was one of those special people who made 
homemaking an art and loved to share her table with all who passed through her 
doorway. She was kind and generous to a fault. She is survived by her 
daughter, Marlene Edwards and her daughters husband, Tom Edwards; her 
grandsons, Danny Fillmore and his wife, Nancé Fillmore, Michael Fillmore; her 
great-grandchildren Jason Fillmore, Danielle Fillmore, and David Fillmore; her 
sister, Frances Hein. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, 
May 27, 2005, at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Please make donations to your 
favorite charity in lieu of flowers.
