Laura Diane Hixson
3/29/1957 - 3/28/2005

We celebrate the life of Laura Diane Hixson: beloved wife, mother, daughter, 
sister and friend. Faithful and unwavering minister to her calling of home and 
family, always supporting her children and husband in their activities, 
education, sports and business ventures. 

Laura leaves behind her loving husband, Alan Rusty Hixson, and loving 
children, Corey and Curt.

Thank you to Lauras parents, Eliseo and Frances Contreras, for bringing her 
into this world. Thank you to Lauras extended family who stood vigil over her: 
mother-in-law, Evelyn; sisters, Marilyn, Arlene, Linda and their families; 
brothers, Dan, Rick, Robert and their families. Thank you to Pastor David Goh, 
the church family at BCC and all those who prayed without ceasing on Lauras 
behalf. Thank you to the doctors and nurses at Sierra Vista Hospital ICU, San 
Luis Obispo, for their grace and sensitivity shown to Lauras family. They held 
nothing back. Thank you to a loving Savior whose hand was upon Laura from the 
beginning of this tragedy til He received her into His presence forever.

We comply with Lauras wishes for a private memorial. 

Laura, everyone who knew you has been touched by something you said or a 
kindness you showed. Your quick sense of humor, your loving words and actions 
always had the ability to lift us up. You will be remembered as a woman who 
was as fun and loving as you were beautiful. We all have nothing but respect 
for the way you lived your life. How very fortunate we are that you were part 
of our lives. You left us too soon.
