Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis Catholic Church on Friday morning, September 9, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery. Joe was born to Andres and Julia Coronado on August 27, 1924 in San Angelo, Texas and he passed away on September 5, 2005 in Bakersfield, California with his family by his side. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Andres and Julia Coronado of San Angelo, TX; sister, Alicia Juarez and brother, Luis Coronado. Joe is survived by his wife of 58 years, Tillie Coronado; daughter Elaine Bastardo; son, Jo Jo Coronado; five granddaughters, Lorraine Reza (Joseph); Marie Frausto; Cherie Arias (Robert Reyes) Christy Coronado (Johnny Ruiz); Monique Coronado (Gino Rivas); 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great- granddaughter; brother, Edward Coronado, sisters, Nicki Hogeda, Edna Castillo, Adelfa Montez, and Lupe Coronado of San Angelo, TX; sisters, Nellie Bazan, Juanita Salazar and Eva Juarez of Bakersfield and numerous special nieces and nephews. Joe was also known as The Pro, having a 60-year career as a professional golfer, Joe competed in Texas, New Mexico and California. Locally he played golf at Valley Grande (Bakersfield Public) now known as the Pepper Tree, Delano Golf Course and Pine Mountain. At the age of 79, he could shoot his age. He was a loving and devoted family man. Dad, Grandpa, Uncle Joe you are so loved and we will miss you everyday.
