Lonnie Dell Cox
January 26, 1949  - May 13, 2005

Lonnie was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma on January 26, 1949. He then moved to 
Kerman, California at the age of 3. This was a man with an 8th grade education 
who worked really hard his whole life and made good decisions, who then became 
a really successful business man and made a really good life for his whole 
family with his wife, Lana who he married at the age of 16. They had 3 
children. After struggling for many years, he then moved his family to 
Bakersfield; and built a business from the ground up. He became known as Mr. 
Dellco Gunite to many, its now the longest operating gunite business in Kern 
County. He also became known as Big Daddy Lonnie Cox at the Bakersfield 
Speedway where he enjoyed racing his hobby stock and owned number 86" Late 
Model, which won the championship in 1998". He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, 
gardening and visiting with his many friends. 

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 39 years, Lana: he will also be 
missed by his mother, Opal Chamber; father-in-law, Ira Tayler; mother-in-law, 
Vivian; daughter, Gina Robertson and husband; son, Lonnie Buck Jr. and his 
wife, Elizabeth. Know as Papa to Aimee, Nicole, Desiree, Clayton, Nickholas, 
Cheris, Tabitha, Chyna and great-grandson, Cody Jace; also his four brothers, 
four sisters and the rest of a very big family.

We have hope though, at John 5:28,29 which says Do not marvel at this, because 
the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his 
voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life , 
those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.
