She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty-two years, Earl A. Elliott, as well as her two sisters, Ruth Harrell and Esther Dennen. Marge is survived by her daughter, Judy Barnett and son-in-law, Jerry; son, Ron Elliott and daughter-in- law, Debra; and three grandchildren, Jennifer Barnett, Jessica Barnett, and Kyle Elliott. The daughter of Louis and Cora Cryts, Marge was born in Bakersfield, California, April 27, 1918. She was raised in Oil Center and attended Aztec School, where she graduated with Class of 1932, with only four boys and two other girls. She went on to graduate from Kern County Union High School, which is now Bakersfield High School, in 1936. She became a full-time homemaker in her adult life and enjoyed many hobbies: Bonsai, competitive golf, artistic expression of all kinds, such as cake decorating, painting, antiquing, and especially gardening. She was a cub scout den mother, a member of the Bakersfield African Violet Society, a devoted member of the Presbyterian Church, and attended several bible study groups regularly where she made many life-long friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. There will be a viewing Thursday, April 21, 2005, from 4 8 p.m. at Hillcrest Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 22, 2005, beginning at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Chapel, with a graveside committal immediately following. The family would like to express their most sincere gratitude for the loving care and companionship given by Marges caregiver, Ramona Record, as well as all of the Hoffman Hospice angels.
